This project involved the manufacture, supply and installation of a variety of internal signage in their Edinburgh offices. Arup is British multinational services firm that provides design, engineering, architecture, planning, and advisory services across every aspect of the built environment.
From our first contact with the Arup team, we knew that they wanted something really special to reflect their considerable expertise in building design, and they didn’t disappoint. They tasked us with manufacturing and installing a bespoke piece of signage that was based on an historical wall map, and was a truly showstopping once completed. They wanted an aged effect for the map so we mounted an acid etched panel to an MDF base, which we then coated with a bronze casting that gave it a stunning aged-bronze effect. The map is the focal point of the Edinburgh office and a great example of how carefully designed and thoughtfully manufactured signage can create durable branded talking pieces for your walls.
The rest of the office was kept sleek and simple with unobtrusive window graphics and 3D built up letters finishing off the installation, and creating a modern contrast to the beautiful map piece.
