Like a great journey, our work for Great Rail Journeys started with some meticulous planning. They asked us to supply and install a range of branded signage including window manifestations, signage, and wall branding at the main Great Rail Journeys offices in York. We conducted a site survey to determine the best materials to use for the various surfaces that the fit covered, we took precise measurements of the internal walls that required branding, and we met with onsite contractors to determine requirements, plan how the electrical feeds for the illuminated signage would work, and to put in place a timeline for the schedule of work.

After the site survey and the onsite contractor meetings we supplied Great Rail Journeys with a complete set of scaled elevation drawings that were used by their design team to produce the artwork required for the wallcoverings and other signage. Once we had the artwork we supplied the client with final proofs for sign off, along with photoshop mock ups of the various signage so they knew exactly what to expect, and any changes could be flagged up before the signage was manufactured.

Great Rail Journeys chose a variety of different signage and branding options to achieve their aims, including:

  • ‘One-piece’ Rafa Canvas Wallcoverings
  • Digitally printed etched glass manifestations
  • Contour cut locker numbers and cupboard graphics
  • Neon Effect LED reception sign
  • This project took approximately two months to complete from the initial survey, and stages of work covered design, manufacture, installation, and final completion. Because of the meticulous planning at the outset of the project we were able to finish the installation and final completion in two weeks, minimising disruption to the offices whilst ensuring that there were no mistakes.
